Gitlab pipeline

It would be nice to setup a gitlab CI pipeline to test the installation and run all unit tests. I see there is already one but it does not seem to work.

I could try to do it if you want @Petrush . I see there are github workflow yaml files, but no gitlab CI yaml file yet.
