Following professional changes, the composition of Orekit's PMC (Project
Management Committee) has undergone several changes in recent weeks :
*
Nicolas Frouvelle is replaced by Anne-Olivia Biramben, as CS GROUP
representative
*
Sébastien Herbinière is replaced by Christophe Le Bris, as Thales Alenia
Space representative
*
Sébastien Herbinière remains a member of the PMC, as an independent expert
**Anne-Olivia Biramben**
has been head of the CS GROUP's Flight Dynamics and
Science department for many years. She has actively supported the Orekit
project since its inception.
For over 20 years at Thales Alenia Space,
**Christophe Le Bris**
has worked
the first few years as a software architect for flight software, and later on
in mission analysis and flight dynamics. He has particularly worked on mission
analysis for telecom constellations (O3b, Iridium), and more recently, on the
development of algorithms to solve the low-thrust GTO-GEO transfer problem for
the Spacebus Neo family. He has also implemented them in the FDS used for
orbit raising, using the Orekit library.
The full list of Orekit PMC members as of 2024-05-15 is therefore:
*
Anne-Olivia Biramben (CS GROUP)
*
Bryan Cazabonne (Airbus Defence and Space)
*
Paul Cefola (University at Buffalo)
*
Frank Dreger (European Space Agency)
*
Hank Grabowski (independent expert)
*
Sébastien Herbinière (independent expert)
*
Petrus Hyvönen (Swedish Space Corporation)
*
Yannick Jeandroz (Airbus Defence and Space)
*
Maxime Journot (CS GROUP)
*
Christophe Le Bris (Thales Alenia Space)
*
Stéphanie Lizy-Destrez (ISAE)
*
Luc Maisonobe (Thales Alenia Space)
*
Guillermo Ortega (European Space Agency)
*
Pascal Parraud (CS GROUP)
*
Romain Serra (Exotrail)
*
Evan Ward (U.S. Naval Research Laboratory)
Welcome Anne-Olivia and Christophe!
And many thanks to Nicolas Frouvelle for his many years of involvement in
Orekit's PMC and his support for the project.
